Nutritionally, the two are virtually identical. Ponderosa pollen grains are red (as opposed to yellow), and the pollen grains are a bit larger. Lodgepole grows in higher altitudes and tends to be more labor-intensive to harvest. Seems legit. Has the same decent to good taste as other lodgepole I've had before. -Wasn't disappointed.
If only it was cheaper, but still reasonable price compared to others.

I first heard of pine pollen during a job cleaning pine mushrooms for Forest Foods Company. I did a littel research and found a pine in my neighbourhood and harvested some - its unique flavour is delicious! Being in the midst of a hectic fall schedule I couldn't feasibly get out to harvest more so I bought some from PPC - it is everything I expected perhaps a wee bit less woody than the stuff I harvested - maybe it is just better cleaned - but it is equally delicious and because of its accessibility I use it more regularly - every second day on cold cereal with almond or macadamia milk. It is a valuable part of my regime and I have more energy and less pain - more endurance and mental focus. Top quality product from a visionary company. These guys's business model is exemplary.

This is as advertised. Glad I paid the premium for the real deal. Personally, I get more out of their tincture but this stuff is of the highest quality.
