At Canadian Pine Pollen Co., all of our pine pollen comes from one of two types of pine - Ponderosa or Lodgepole. Nutritionally, the two are virtually identical. Ponderosa pollen grains are red (as opposed to yellow), and the pollen grains are a bit larger. Lodgepole grows in higher altitudes and tends to be more labor-intensive to harvest. Preference between the two is purely a matter of personal taste - as each type and batch of pollen will have unique terroir.
